Museum of Archaeology & History
Known locally as the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, Montreal’s Museum of Archeology and History was founded in 1992 to preserve the longstanding history of the Quebec. The museum complex is located in Old Montreal, and is comprised of six buildings and structures, including the Èperon Building, Fort Ville-Marie, and the Mariner’s House.
Visitors will find plenty to discover among the museum’s permanent exhibits, including the Where Montreal Was Born, Youville Pumping Station, and the "Yours Truly, Montreal" multimedia show. Museum goers may also visit the archeological crypt for an up-close-and-personal view of centuries worth of artifacts.
