Parliament Hill of Canada
A National Historic Site of Canada, Parliament of Hill of Canada, sometimes referred to as “the Hill,” is home to the Parliament of Canada. The Hill is located in downtown Ottawa – just across the Ottawa River from Gatineau, Quebec.
Originally built in 1859 as a Canadian military base, the Hill has since become a renowned government facility, featuring Gothic revival architecture, a host of monuments and statues, and nearly 90,000 square metres of grounds.
