Visiting Quebec

Quebec is a vast landscape of must-visit cities and excellent attractions, which help make this province a sterling example of hospitality and tourism. Plan your next trek through Quebec for this fall or winter and check out all you can – there’ll be an impressive slate of events, festivals, concerts, and more waiting.

Whether you check out Rouyn-Noranda, out in the far west of the province, Quebec City, the province’s capital, or anything in between, you’ll no doubt have a blast this fall. Many visitors will find their way into Gatineau, home to premier sites like the Casino du Lac-Leamy, and the Canadian Children’s Museum.

One of Quebec’s marquee cities is Montreal. This fall, as you venture through Quebec, make sure your plans include an extended stay in “Quebec’s Metropolis.” You’ll want to cross the iconic Jacques Cartier Bridge when you visit Montreal, and don’t pass on a tour of the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. Olympic Stadium hosts top sporting events and expos throughout the year, and this fall will feature a selection of the best.

On October 1st you’ll have a chance to experience Autorama Montreal. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Olympic Stadium will host the largest indoor car event in Canada – catch a glimpse of current models for sale and future concept cars. Make the drive in from Laval or Brossard for this full throttle event.

Enjoy one of the Montreal’s favorite fall festivals when you visit this year. From September 30th to October 31st the Montreal Botanical Garden will host the 2016 Great Pumpkin Ball. Ideal for families, this Halloween and autumn celebration will be a real treat – don’t miss Pepo the Pumpkin!

Few events in Montreal can draw a crowd like a Canadiens game. Fans the NHL already know ferocity at which the game is played, and this fall and winter, you can see it for yourself. On December 16th the Montreal Canadiens will host the San Jose Sharks starting at 7:30 p.m., and on the 22nd of December the Minnesota Wild will be in town. All Canadiens home games are played CentreBell.
